É mais ou menos assim: “por ele”, significa que “ele” é o meio pelo qual a carta chegará ao seu destino final. Já “para ele”, significa que “ele” é o destino final da carta.
por = caminho, meio
para = fim

I have been living in London for a couple of years so I believe that aswers your question.hope to talk to you soon!
Best regards.
CUNDUNDO says:
thank you for your message! I am glad that you agree with me on such delicate points.The reason I raised this matter was because I lived in Brazil for many years and I know the culture very well therefore I am not saying that there is not
good English teachers there but in my opinion very little. By watching your videos I believe you are one that belongs to this small group and you should keep up the same good work.
Xokmax says:
Ehhh!
Unfortunately…é verdade.
Xokmax says:
No problem!
You are right on.
How did you learn English so well?
Xokmax says:
That is exactly my point cundundo! You don’t have to know the grammar rules to speak. I try to explain to students that they know how to use ‘por’ e ‘para’ without knowing why. That is the same way they need to study english.
CUNDUNDO says:
.amazingly most of these people are not competent nor qualified to teach English,I have recently watched a video on the youtube from a Brazilian English teacher that simply could not speak English now I understand why Brazil is a third world country and how it is easy for a clever chap from abroad to make a lot of money among the blind.
CUNDUNDO says:
Dear, Mr David I am sorry if my words were too harsh to your sensitive ears but the truth had to be said,unfortunately there is a lot of so called English teachers and schools in Brazil taking advantage on the lack of knowledge of people that simple want to learn English and fall into the hands of these unscrupulous opportunists.(To be continued)
CUNDUNDO says:
You already speak Portuguese you do not need to know the rules, what you need is to understand the idea.The most important thing in a language are the general ideas you need to get across not rules you even gave a very good example about that gentleman that spent 2 minutes to answer you a very simple question exaclly because he had his brain full of rules.Teachers that focus on rules are there to rip off their students you know that and I know that too.
Xokmax says:
Hey Cundundo!
Thanks for the heads up.
Mas quero saber as regras.
CUNDUNDO says:
Eu enviei a carta por ele- I sent the letter through him(meaning: he was the carrier of the letter
Enviei a carta para ele: I sent the letter to him
(meaning that I sent the letter through somebody or maybe through the post or any other way).
Xokmax says:
Okay! So more than a few days.
